I was born near San Francisco at the height of the flower power culture. Maybe it was because of that, or perhaps there was just something in the water, because as long as I can remember, I’ve never been without something artsy-crafty within easy reach.
From beading and coloring to polymer clay creations that ended up at Emmy gatherings, I’m always going outside the lines, creating art with bold color for as long as I can remember. Now my passion is resin art, like the pieces you see on this website.
I didn’t always recognize myself as an artist. For nearly forty years I made my “living” in the catering/restaurant business (and must admit I loved it). But while it was a space where I could express myself creatively, it just never filled my creative soul. And now I know why: I was born to make art!
Throughout those years, I always felt the gentle tug to be the artist I was on the inside, but it wasn’t until a serious car accident left me with permanent injuries in 2016 that I realized it was time to make art full time.
I’ll be the first to admit I can’t draw to save my soul, but I do have an eye for color and balance. After studying, watching, learning, failing and tossing things in the trash because “what the hell was I thinking”, I finally took the plunge and haven’t looked back since.
I’ve become who I was meant to be.
